  1. Several years ago I opted to study for a year at the University of the Philippines, Diliman by way of the University of California at Berkeley. I did my research on the Bangsamoro people of Mindanao. I am not a Muslim but felt I wanted to know more about the disenfranchised people of the Muslim faith in the south. I was surprised at the lack of material available about tho Moros. I just saw the piece on CNN Philippines and was moved by the founder’s message of peace. I am an American living in the Philipines and pray that the peace process works in these troubled times.
